Acworth Beach

Acworth Beach and Cauble Park, the area where the beach is found, are located along the northern shore of Lake Acworth. This 90-acre, man-made lake is just south of one of the most beautiful tourist attractions in Georgia, Lake Allatoona. People visit Lake Acworth not just for the warm climate and natural beauty, but also for the marina, camping, and for Acworth Beach fishing.

Acworth Beach is busiest during the summer months, when visitors to Cauble Park and Lake Acworth come to enjoy the beach, lakefront walkways, picnic areas, and playgrounds. Acworth Beach is open for swimming from early June to Labor Day. It is interesting to note that the beach was created by shipping in tons of white sand to put on top of the rust red clay soil indigenous to this northwestern part of Cobb County in Georgia.

Acworth Beach can be accessed through Cauble Park, which is located on Beach Street on the north side of Lake Acworth. There is a small parking fee charged on weekend days between Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day, from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. You can easily enter the park from a few other areas that are near Cauble Park as well, including a number of trails that connect Collins Circle to the park and connect visitors with other attractions near the beach. There is a community outdoor beach house and pavilion, kitchen facilities, paddle boat rentals, gazebo and playground, camping, hiking, and more. Visitors can rent properties and enjoy the beautiful weather and sights near the beach. Be aware, pets are allowed (on a six-foot leash), but alcohol is not permitted in the park or on the beach.

There are also plenty of suitable options for those travelers seeking hotels near Acworth Beach. The Comfort Suites in Acworth is a comfortable place to stay with nearly all the amenities, including swimming pool, spa, in-hotel restaurant, business center, gym, internet access, and room service. The Comfort Suites is on the higher end of the price range for hotels near Acworth Beach, but this compared to other accommodations near similar tourist attractions in Georgia, is still relatively affordable. The La Quinta Inn in Acworth is comparably priced and provides all of the same amenities.

The Ramada Limited, Super 8, and Best Western Acworth Inn are perfect fits for the savvy traveler seeking cheaper accommodations without sacrificing on comfort, cleanliness, or convenience. When it comes to affordable hotels near Acworth Beach, these top the list. The Ramada Limited has a restaurant right in the hotel, a swimming pool, a full gym, and business center. The Best Western has a swimming pool and internet access, but is not as nicely equipped in terms of business services or food. The Super 8 offers the least amount of amenities, but does not compromise on quality of service, or cleanliness of the rooms. Each of these hotels is conveniently located near Lake Acworth and the Cauble Park and Acworth Beach areas.
