The Garden of the Sleeping Giant

The Garden of the Sleeping Giant is one of the most popular and spectacular Fiji attractions of all the Fiji gardens. In the beginning, the Garden of the Sleeping Giant was not a Fiji attraction but the home to Raymond Burr's private collection of tropical orchids. However, today his orchid collection has grown to be one of the most popular Fiji attractions.

The Garden of Sleeping Giant Fiji displays over 2000 various kinds of orchids, which encompasses 20 hectares. Along with the magnificent collection attributed to Raymond Burr there are several rare Fijian orchids as well making this collection of orchids the largest in the world.

Of all the Fiji attractions, Fiji gardens draw visitors from the world over to enjoy all the delightful and beautiful native plants and flowers that call Fiji home. You can find several different Fiji gardens scattered throughout the islands, but none are as awesome as Garden of the Sleeping Giant.

The gardens and holiday shack are open Monday through Saturday from 9am to 5pm. Remember to schedule some time to take in this breath-taking tropical orchid garden, you will be amazed at the serenity, calm and beautiful atmosphere. Children will even the walk and the wonderful glass of fruit at the end of the trail. Do not be surprised at just how many tourists will be there waiting to get in.
