Coors Field, Colorado

On Aug. 16, 1990, voters from the six-county Denver region approved a 0.1 percent sales tax to fund a baseball-only stadium. As a result of this vote, Coors Field Denver was constructed. Coors Field gets its name from the Coors Field Brewing Company of Golden Colorado, who purchased the naming rights prior to the stadium's completion.

At first, Coors Field seating was planned at 48,300. However, by the year 2001, attendance at Coors Field was so prolific that Coors Field increased seating to 50,445. Most of the Coors Field seating is green. However, the upper deck's 20th row is painted purple, designating one mile above sea level.
