Finding an event in Las Vegas is like trying to find sand at the beach — it's everywhere and is there for the taking, much like the events in Las Vegas. A Las Vegas event calendar can read like the longest laundry list in history — every casino, from Westward Ho to the Bellagio Las Vegas, has something going on each night - sometimes even multiple events in casinos with more than one theater. Since there is always an upcoming event in Las Vegas, you'll rarely speak the words, "what do you want to do?" You will, however, have many options in finding Las Vegas tickets for every event.

Las Vegas Shows

If there is one thing that Las Vegas is famous for, other than gambling and general debauchery, it is the array of shows that occur on any given night. Though some of the options fall squarely into the Vegas stereotype of over-the-hill singers and comedians, they tend to be the exceptions rather than the rule. You can get something from all over the map — from music to comedy to magic to showgirls to sports to circus acts, and that's only the super obvious examples. Cirque de Soleil have a number of shows, from Mystere to LOVE to Zumanity, located all over the strip from Treasure Island to the Mirage to New York, New York. The Blue Man Group can be found at the Venetian year-round, while the Excalibur has a medieval show that will entertain entire families. If you want to add an adult flavor to your Las Vegas event calendar, try the Folies Bergere at the Tropicana, the famed Pussycat Dolls at Caesar's Palace or the underrated Crazy Horse in Paris at, oddly the MGM Grand.

Another staple of Las Vegas shows are the various magicians who work each hotel theater. Though you will have to go on without Siegfried and Roy, you can still find Lance Burton, Penn & Teller at the Monte Carlo and Rio, respectively.

Las Vegas Concerts

The same goes for concerts — singers such as Elton John have imbued a Las Vegas event calendar with a touch of artistic credibility. No longer just the stopping point for Elvis impersonators or overblown shows featuring Celine Dion or David Cassidy, a new breed of musical guests have made their way to the top of any Las Vegas event calendar. The House of Blues in Mandalay Bay features popular current artists, and is always an anticipated upcoming event in Las Vegas. Comedy shows are just as wildly popular, allowing visitors to choose between touring acts along with Vegas regulars like Rita Rudner or Don Rickles. Impressionists always seem to find a home in Las Vegas, too.

Las Vegas Boxing

Sporting events are huge in Vegas, and since the city is the boxing capital of the world, any featured match is always a talked-about upcoming event in Las Vegas. Though Mike Tyson is no longer welcome, many of the other top fighters are: Oscar De La Hoya, Lennox Lewis, Wladimir Klitschko and Floyd Mayweather have all found their way to the ring in Vegas. The MGM Grand Garden and Mandalay Bay house all the top-flight fighters, but if you want boxing without the famous names, tickets at Orleans Hotel are relatively inexpensive for all the same hard hitting action.

Las Vegas Convention Center Events

Las Vegas Convention Center events are another aspect of the city that never stops. Last February (the slowest month in Vegas), there were over 150 convention events throughout the city, from a meeting of the International Gay Rodeo to that of Nebraska Bankers Association. The Hilton remains the most sought after convention space in the city, though the new digs in the Wynn Las Vegas are giving it a run for its money. The Mandalay Bay convention center is another top-flight example, and one of the busiest - here you'll find the home to over 200 meetings per year. Every profession seems to have some kind of link to one of the convention centers, but you should still consider yourself lucky if you ever get to visit the strip on the company dime.
